What is Bell’s Palsy?

Bell’s palsy can be a condition that causes sudden impairment in the muscles on the face. As we see in most of the cases, the impairment or weakness is temporary and significantly improves over weeks. When weakness occurs it makes half of the face appear to droop or swelled.

Smiles also not showing properly on the entire face smile looking one-sided, and the eye on the affected side also affected and it resists to close.

Bell’s palsy is an unexplained disease of facial muscle impairment or weakness it’s also called facial paralysis.

It can begin suddenly and increase within 24 or 48  hours, It is recognized as a droopy appearance on one side of face and it’s inability to open or close your eye patient will feel very difficult to open or close eyes on the affected side.

Bell’s palsy  is one type of paralysis that is called facial paralysis that results in a temporary inability or difficulty in controlling the muscles of the face on the affected side of the face.

What causes Bell’s palsy?

As we all know at this time pollution is on our top page so Various viruses may trigger Bell’s palsy. We know very well it’s an era of viruses. The condition of bell’s palsy starts when swelling or inflammation temporarily gives pressure on all nerves that control face muscles.

This pressure does not allow the nerve to function fully, making it more difficult for the patient to control facial muscles or expressions. As the swelling gradually subsides, the nerve can fully resume its function. The symptoms definitely go away but it may take several months to recover.

What are the symptoms of It?

Symptoms of Bell’s palsy often appear suddenly and reach their peak within 24 to 72 hours. In some people these symptoms develop slowly and in some people only feel paralysis.

These symptoms often begin to gradually improve over three weeks. Up to 90% of patients can be completely cured, but if an Ayurvedic treatment is given, then often patients can correct the symptoms within three months.

In addition to facial drooping, signs included:

  • Feeling Difficulty in speaking, eating difficulty  or drinking difficulty.
  • Face Drooling.
  • Dry eyes, eyes not blink.
  • Facial pain or ear pain.

What is the main cause of Bell’s palsy?

Although the cause of Bell’s palsy is unknown, there are different opinions, but it is largely believed that it is caused by inflammation that weakens the body’s immune system.

Can it be cured?
